Nursing scrubs helped change the function of a nurses attire, to closely match the form of a doctors attire. The functionality and practicality were the basic influences that helped the change to the medical scrubs of today.

If you are in the nursing profession, you would probably agree that the pure white nursing scrubs are pretty much a thing of the past. With the new colors that have been introduced, and with all the new styles of scrubs we have today, our apparel is always changing for the better.

Since the patients we look after, feel comfort in having a nurse in colorful uniform or set of scrubs looking after them.
Because the doctors are hardly ever present, we nurses are mostly who the patients sees, and if we are in bright colored scrubs,
it probably helps to make them feel better.

The nurses that began to wear scrubs for their uniforms found it was a welcome change. The scrubs provided new found comfort and easy to care for fabric. We could take our medical scrubs and launder them at home, and they were ready to wear, another day.

All the new colors and prints also make scrubs much more fun to wear than the old white uniforms, of yesteryear.
There is also a much better feeling wearing all the different colors, and prints of the new nursing uniforms and scrubs that we wear today.
